Common Pitfalls When Downloading Schematics

• Version mismatch: a schematic saved on 1.16 might use blocks (dyed concrete, dripstone, etc) that either don't exist or renamed in your version. Litematica silently drops unknown blocks. Fix: update to a matching Minecraft version.
• Wrong format: some sites serve .zip archives containing the schematic. Extract first.
• Malware in .jar mimics: never download a file that claims to be a schematic but is actually a .jar. Schematics are always .litematic, .schem, or .schematic — never executable formats.
• License / attribution: some creators require credit if you use their builds publicly. Check the upload page before featuring in a video or server.
