No colour or material break

A 30-block-tall solid-cobblestone tower is monotonous. Even one accent — a horizontal ring of a different block every 8 levels — dramatically improves it.

Windows out of proportion

Tiny 1×1 windows on a diameter-25 tower disappear. Large 5×5 windows on a diameter-9 tower look silly. Rule of thumb: window height = 15-25% of tower height, window width proportional.

Building isolated
